Sentencing Act 2026
These dates are estimated under the rules introduced by the Sentencing Act 2026 (Royal Assent 22 January 2026). The Act moves most standard determinate sentences to a 33% Earned Progression Model, extends release points for serious designated offences, and brings in a presumption of suspension for sentences of 12 months or less.
